The 22 year old Paraguayan defensive midfielder has signed with the Chicago Fire after a drawn out negotiation process. Marmol had been training with the Red Bulls over the past few weeks.

Marmol reached an agreement with MLS. Marmol is regarded as a very promising player, and this is surely bad news for Red Bulls fans. Update: Marmol has left RBNY and will be traveling to Chicago Fire to make a final decision on whether or not he will officially sign with Chicago.

The first reports we received were a bit premature, although it looks very likely Marmol will sign.
