The New York Red Bulls have completed the signing of 22 year old Mexican defender diego Jimenez. Jimenez has been a target of Juan Carlos Osorio’s for some time and has finally put pen to paper. Jimenez has most recently played for Mexican club Tecos, and has played for the Mexican U-21 national team. Jimenez is also married to an American and holds a green card, meaning he shouldn’t occupy one of the club’s international player spots. What do you think of the signing? The New York Red Bulls have offered a contract to 22 year old Mexican defender Diego Jimenez.  Jimenez has most recently played for Mexican giant Tecos, making over 20 appearances over the past two years. Jimenez is also married to an American so he would be eligible for a green card should he decide to join the club. The young midfielder played for Mexico’s U-21 team at the Toulon Youth Tournament in France two years ago.
