According several reports out of Venezuela, 24 year old Venezuelan defender Gabriel Cichero is set to join New York Red Bulls on loan. As we reported earlier this season, Red Bulls manager Juan Carlos Osorio has been targeting Cichero. Cichero is said to be looking forward to joining New York and following his fellow countryman Jorge Rojas. Cichero currently plays for Venezuelan first division side Deportivo Italia and has had one year stints in Italy and Bulgaria. Check back for more updates as they come.

Cichero currently plays for Deportivio Italia, in Venezuela’s First Division.
