According this report, Toronto FC are in negotiations with Turkish striker Hakan Sukur, and have offered a one year, four million dollar contract to the 37 year old. Sukur has 112 caps for the Turkish national team, and has scored 51 goals. Sukur most recently played for Turkish giant Galatasaray, making 147 appearances, scoring 55 goals over 5 years with club. Toronto FC still has it’s one Designated Player spot open and it looks like Sukur may be about to fill it. What do you think of this potential capture? Good for Sukur? Good for Toronto FC? Good for MLS?
