Microsoft set to Sponsor Seattle Sounders FC

mlsseattle.jpgAccording to the Wall Street Journal, the software company will be sponsoring the expansion franchise’s jersey sponsor. The deal is reported to be roughly $4 million per season for 5 years, quite impressive for MLS.  The 2009 Seattle Sounders FC jersey will feature “Xbox 360 Live” on the front of the jersey’s. What do you all think? Good move for the expansion franchise?

I think it’s great. The more companies that invest in the MLS, the better off. More money means the MLS can attract higher salaries, and a better caliber of players.

For being only a little over ten years old, the MLS is well on its way to financial security as well as success.
