New York Red Bulls striker Juan Pablo Angel saw a nerve specialist this week and was told his recent injury problems stemmed from nerve damage, not what had been thought to be a hamstring injury. Angel will receive a cortizone shot and most likely be available for NYRB’s game against Toronto FC. Striker Oscar Echeverry has sustained a strained left lateral collateral ligament in training on Tuesday and will miss around 4 weeks. New York plays the San Jose Earthquakes this sunday at Giants Stadium.
